Writing Center.

The Writing Center offers individual tutoring on all types of writing projects. Professors and student tutors work one-on-one with center users on all aspects of the writing process: researching information, discovering ideas, drafting, revising, and editing. Although the tutors will not write or proofread papers, they will help you improve your own essays, research papers, lab or field reports, book reviews, proposals, evaluations, resumes, and applications for jobs, scholarships, student teaching, or graduate school.
The Writing Center occasionally offers free workshops and additional resources such as: handouts on APA and MLA formats, dictionaries, thesauruses, and writing manuals, sample College Placement and Regents' Exams and word processors. Located on the first floor of Gamble Hall, the Writing Center is open from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday during the regular academic year. For more information contact the center at 344-2878.
