Student Technology Services.

Student Technology Services (STS) provides AASU students with a wide range of technological resources, services, and information. STS enables students to maximize the potential benefits of available AASU technologies when incorporated into their learning environment and coursework. Visit www.sts.armstrong.edu for complete information on the following components of Student Technology Services.

Student Help Desk
The Student Help Desk provides support for specific applications such as WebCT, Microsoft Office programs, and student e-mail. Trained student assistants are available to answer WebCT questions concerning logging into courses, uploading assigments, attaching files, and more. Students may contact the Student Help Desk by completing an online form at www.sts.armstrong.edu/helpdesk/helpform.html , calling 912.344.2518 or 1.866.533.6353 (toll-free), or emailing the Student help Desk at techhelp@mail.armstrong.edu
Orientations and Workshops
Student Technology Services offers technology orientations and workshops on topics including WebCT, computer tips & tricks, Internet search engines, Microsoft Office applications, and Macromedia applications, including Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks. Students are encouraged to visit Student Technology Services' web site at www.sts.armstrong.edu to view an updated schedule of orientations and workshops as well as learn detailed information about each session. Because class size are limited, students should contact Student Technology Services in advance to register for workshops or orientations.
Computer Labs
Student Technology Services provides computer resources and software applications to AASU students through two computer labs. The labs are located in Memorial College Center Annex and in UH 112. Both labs are open to students, faculty and staff. Users of these facilities must havea valid AASU ID.

The MCC Annex lab mantains Windows based PC computers, multiple black and white laser and dot matrix printers, a color laser printer, flatbed scanners, zip drives, common software applications such as Microsoft's Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Internet access. A separate lecture facility is available for faculty and their classes within this lab by reservation only. The lecture facility is complete with individual student PC computer workstations capable of being controlled from a separate instructor's workstation, a ceiling mounted projector, a black and white laser printer and an electronic whiteboard.

The UH 112 facility contains Windows based PC computers, access to the same Windows applications available in the MCC Annex lab, access to the Internet, a dot matrix printer, a ceiling mounted computer projector and an instructor workstation. This alb is open for general use and lecture purposes by reservation only. Twenty-four hour access to the UH 112 lab is available through University Police.
